Utah State Tax Payment Plan

Utah State Tax Payment Plan

The Utah State Tax Commission will set up a payment plan, as long as your last required return has been processed so can determine the exact balance you owe. In most cases, you are allowed up to 24 months to pay off her debt.

A payment plan does not stop the accrual of penalties and interest. In addition, a lien may still be file to protect the state’s interest. Be aware that you will need an email address because all payment plan communication comes strictly through email.

There are three options when requesting a payment plan. They include:
• Calling 801-297-7703 or 1-800-662-4335 (ext. 7703) and following the prompts.
• Visit the Taxpayer’s Access Point (TAP) and choose Request Waiver, Payment Plan, or e-Reminder. (You will need to create an account.)
• Complete Form TC-804, Individual Income Tax Payment Agreement Request. You can submit the form by mail to the address on the bottom right side of page 2 or fax it to 801-297-6202.

You will be notified by email if your payment plan request is accepted. It will outlines the terms and conditions of your agreement, as well as provide you with contact information should you run into a problem.
