North Carolina State Tax Payment Plan

If you have received a notice of taxes owed, the North Caroline Department of Revenue does allow you to apply for installment payment agreements. (If you have not received a notice, you can make a payment, but you cannot request an installment agreement.)

The department has created this video to walk you through the entire installment agreement process, including the requirements for consideration and what to expect if your agreement is approved.

To apply for an installment payment agreement, you will need to do the following:

Complete Form RO-1033, Installment Agreement Request. This is an online form that you will submit online.
