Iowa State Tax Payment Plan

Iowa State Tax Payment Plan

The Iowa Department of Revenue allows you to set up a payment plan if you have received a billing notice from the Iowa Department of Revenue or a delinquent tax or court debt assessment. (There is no application required.) This can be done by visiting the Pay Debt Iowa website. Before you can get started, you will need to read through and accept the Terms of Service located on the right side of the screen.

To set up a payment plan, you will need your social security number, the most recent debt notice you have received, and a blank check or your savings account information if you choose to make your payments using direct deposit. Interest will continue to accrue until the debt has been paid off in full. After you have set up a payment plan, you do have the option of making a payment using MoneyGram. You will need your 9 digit account number that can be found on your billing statement, as well as the Delinquent Payment Code: 11697. You can find MoneyGram locations here.

If you have any questions, the Department of Revenue asks that you submit them here or call the Billings & Collections Department at 1-866-339-7912.
